Mànran
Following last year’s hugely successful debut Gaelic single, Latha Math, Mànran went on to launch their self-titled CD at last year’s HebCelt. Successful appearances at many festivals, in particular at Cambridge Folk Festival in 2011 where they claimed the highest selling CD sales of the festival, are testament to the class and underlying genius of this Scottish band that have one foot firmly rooted in the Gaidhealtachd.
Crowned in glory from the MG Scots Trad Music Awards in 2011, Mànran won ‘Best Album of the Year’ and Norrie MacIver secured ‘Gaelic Singer of the Year’. Their sell out show at this year’s Celtic Connections paves the way for a triumphant return to one of their favourite festival audiences.
