La Bottine Souriante – first appeared on the Québec music scene in 1976 and have become living legends of French North American roots music. In over twenty-five years, this remarkable multi-award winning group has released twelve albums and sold over half a million albums! No longer simply a Québécois/Canadian musical phenomenon, their explosive sound has crossed borders the world over and left in their wake countless enchanted audiences. Their distinctive sound successfully allies its homage to tradition with a dash of jazz, salsa and pure folk, while at the same time perfectly representing the symbol of vitality and pride of its mother culture.

This unstoppable 10-piece party machine played such a pivotal role in the very early years of the HebCelt. A generation has grown up since and in this homecoming year a whole new generation will get to opportunity to discover just why this Québécois act is universally know as "the best band in the world".
