Hunger Mountain Boys
These guys have just cracked the half decade of their touring and recording career and in that short time have released four full length albums and one vinyl recording on their own record label, toured the US, Canada, Europe and the UK, and have garnered a collection of accolades along the way.
Fulfilling invitations to open for such American icons as Taj Mahal and Doc Watson, amongst others, Massachusetts based Hunger Mountain Boys have absorbed influences from a broad reaching transection of American music. Merging these eclectic influences with their own upbringings and infatuation with the 1920's, 30's and 40's western swing, country jazz and early bluegrass, their music resonates from an unoccupied niche in the resurgence of today's acoustic string bands.
The Hunger Mountain Boys are Kip Beacco (guitar, mandolin, vocals), Teddy Webber (guitar, steel guitar, vocals) and Matt Downing (string bass & vocals).
The Hunger Mountain Boys are also appearing at Breasclete Hall on Wednesday night.
