The legendary Mairi Smith from Ness in Lewis sings with a profound understanding of the Scottish Gaelic song tradition and with a deep respect for both the creator of the song and the tradition bearer who kept it alive and passed it on. Award winning Julie Fowlis, who was raised in North Uist and steeped in local culture and the Gaelic tradition from an early age, has gone on to win the hearts of audiences around the globe.
This will be a very special afternoon of traditional Gaelic song from their combined vast repertoire which is sure to delight, amuse, most likely conjure up the odd tearful moment but will most assuredly bring the listener great joy.
