Saltfishforty
Combining the traditional music of Orkney with original compositions, they released their debut album, Goose Music, to critical acclaim in May 2003 and followed that with Orkney Twister at the end of 2005. Building on the success of the albums, their reputation as a fresh and dynamic live act is blossoming.
Nominated in the "best up and coming act" category at the BBC Scottish Traditional music awards in 2004, they have toured the UK and travelled all around Europe, Canada and appeared at many of UK's major festivals including Celtic Connections and St Magnus Festival.
Douglas Montgomery (fiddle) and Brian Cromarty (guitar/mandola/vocals) are the Orkney duo Saltfishforty.
