Street Art
This year the Streets of Stornoway and beyond will be alive with the expanded Hebridean Fringe Festival.
Programming an array of international street artists, entertainers and circus performers 'Let's...Circus' are the circus that runs away to join you! There will be some old favourites and some great new arrivals. Here's a taste of what to expect.
- Great Scott (Australia) – comedy juggler with an amazing balancing act, guaranteed to leave you feeling funtastic.
- Jam (UK) – A street theatre double act specialising in fire shows, hula hoop and juggling skills that will make your head spin!
- Helen Averley (UK) – The circus artiste who flies head and shoulders above everyone else. Helen brings her trapeze and invites everyone to learn to fly.
- Miss Donna The Clown (Australia) – All heart and smiles – you'll never see balloon sculptures like hers again.
- Steve Cousins aka Steve Mischief (Australia) – he's back! Fresh from Britain's Got Talent – what madness will he be creating this year?
Quirky tricks, bizarre talents, and extraordinary skills - you'll be amazed, and amused.
Street shows Wednesday-Saturday at 5pm
Circus toy workshops Thursday-Saturday at Midday
Trapeze workshops Thursday-Friday at 2:30pm
All events take place in and around the narrows, with nightly appearances at the festival main arena.
And of course Saturday at 5pm, don't miss the Big, BIG Festival Showcase!! All of the acts! All of the best bits! All in one show! All for you!
Workshop activities are free, and Street Shows are by a donation. So remember – bring some gold or something to fold and smile as fits of laughter take hold!
