Absolute Beginners Gaelic with UHI Outer Hebrides

Monday to Friday 10 – 11am: £5.00

Thursday & Friday now fully subscribed.

UHI OUTER HEBRIDES FOYER (By the Main Arena and Lews Castle)

You'll learn how to greet and introduce yourself to others, both formally and informally; tell someone how you are feeling today; discuss the ever-changing weather as well as midge densities; ask for directions and information at visitor sites; and, perhaps most importantly, how to write a Gaelic postcard home and post a short Gaelic video to social media. We'll even make you a cup of tea when we're done so that we can all sit together and have our first Gaelic conversation in our lovely sunny cafe before you head off to use your Gaelic skills 'in the wild'.
