The Tumbling Souls

The Tumbling Souls have forged a reputation as one of Scotland’s most exciting, must-see live bands, bursting out of the Isle of Lewis with a sound that fuses country heart, trad fire, indie edge and rock’n’roll spirit.

Their songs feel instantly familiar yet fresh, with their most recent singles ‘1995’ and ‘Nowhere In A Hurry’ highlighting the band’s gift for soaring melodies and sharp storytelling, earning national radio play and further growing their burgeoning fanbase.

They grow forward again from their 2018 debut album ‘Between The Truth and The Dream’ which introduced their distinctive blend of island roots and classic pop sensibilities. But where earlier singles ‘End Up Running’ and ‘Sailing A Boiling Sea’ showcased a band steeped in reflection and songwriting craft, their breakout new tracks have more of a mature, even playful indie edge, that has been rapturously received by fans and critics alike.

With yet more new music on the way in 2026, they are clearly stepping confidently into a new creative era that’s generating serious buzz across the live music scene. Shows with the likes of Torridon, taking in Celtic Connections, performing at Carradale Music Festival and more, show that their musicianship is world-class and loved by audiences everywhere.

But it is their homecoming show at HebCelt Festival in July and their connection with audiences that will be the stand out performance of the year for Willie Campbell (Guitar, Vocals), Stephen Drummond (Accordion), Iain Kernahan (Guitar), Louisa Barron MacDonald (Fiddle), Iain “Spanish” MacKay (Guitar, Vocals) and Paul Martin (Guitar) and not to be missed.
