Island Fling are a five-piece cèilidh group from the Isle of Lewis. Their style and repertoire is firmly rooted in the type of music that surrounded them being brought up in a stronghold of west coast music, whilst also using more contemporary techniques to give a fresher sound to their sets.
Ross MacIver and Billy Mackay provide the rhythm for the boys on drums and guitar, whilst Ian Alex Macdonald, Uisdean Reid and Seumas Smith provide melody on a mixture of pipes, accordion, whistles and fiddle.
They have played a range of venues; from social clubs to sheds, however this is their first time in a tent.
Wherever they go a mess usually follows, so be prepared and bring your wellies and boilersuits!
