Katie Macfarlane, a Gaelic singer from Airdrie, has been drawn to traditional music her entire life, and her passion for the genre shines through in her performances. She has been recognized as a semi-finalist in both BBC Radio Scotland's Young Traditional Musician and BBC Radio 2's Young Folk Award competitions, and her debut album - An Nighean Sheunta / The Enchanted Girl - showcases her unique blend of Gaelic and Catalan styles, adopted from her ancestral connections to the Outer Hebrides and time spent studying in Barcelona.
